“Käfer” in Hirschegg is attended to by the Jugendforum Kleinwalsertal and since July 2006 the youth coordinator Kathleen Doll.

Kathleen is the contact person for everyone who is in contact with teenagers and for the youth itself.

Everybody wanting to know what’s „on“ might check out the website of Paul Schöch who also organises the yearly „Walser Style Award“. In this contest different categories like “best Walser mum, best looking female, most decent dialect” and so on are awarded. For further details see www.walser-award.com.

The youth forum Kleinwalsertal (JFK) is responsible for the organising the “Käfer” with its concerts and parties on a regular basis. Certain events like the legendary “Beachparty” of “Boardermania” (organised by the Boardermaniacs ) are a must!

Sports:

On 6 of January a winter version of duathlon takes place in Schwende organised by the Tri-Team. The teams consist of one runner and one cross-country skier whose times are added. For further details see the website of Tri-Team Kleinwalsertal.

On the same day, the traditional Pumuckl-ski race of the local ski club takes place. It is a children’s race with participants from Vorarlberg and Allgäu/Germany. More details to be found on the website Sportverein Kleinwalsertal..
There is an international cross-country skiing sprint race in March.

Further events in summer are the a running event at the Hirschegg village feast as well as the internationale Widdersteinberglauf where participants run around the valley’s highest mountain.
