Tradition and Customs

Tradition and customs belong to the original homeland. They help to interpret the future through pictures, sentiments and emotions.

What are customs?

Customs are subject to a constant change. The more they are looked after the easier they adopt to the zeitgeist. An important interpretation of the meaning of human existence is given by structuring the year. People repeat their religious occasions in the course of a year. Topics are birth, life, death, resurrection and the life of the role models, the Saints. The Walser particularly worship the Holy Theodul, Nikolaus and Mauritius.

Few customs are of heathen origin.
