Is there a common world of sagas?

Is there a common world of sagas?

The alpine regions are rich in sagas. They are encounters with the hereafter. The night folk and wild army comes through the sky. The “Walsermänndle” makes a fool of the people. A beggar puts a spell on an alp. There is light on an abandoned farm and ghosts are met. A small man secretly helps out on farm and disappears once the people left some clothes as thanks. All of these motives are known beyond the Walser throughout the alpine regions, some even world wide. There are only few sagas merely known locally.
