On 6 of January a winter version of duathlon takes place in Schwende organised by the Tri-Team. The teams consist of one runner and one cross-country skier whose times are added. For further details see the website of Tri-Team Kleinwalsertal.

On the same day, the traditional Pumuckl-ski race of the local ski club takes place. It is a children’s race with participants from Vorarlberg and Allgäu/Germany. More details to be found on the website Sportverein Kleinwalsertal..
There is an international cross-country skiing sprint race in March.

Further events in summer are the a running event at the Hirschegg village feast as well as the internationale Widdersteinberglauf where participants run around the valley’s highest mountain.
