From own production:

Yields from the meagre mountain farming were dairy products, meat, vegetables, fruits and herbs from the garden or woods.

Crop growing was only known to a few municipalities like Galtür, Brand, Großwalsertal and Silbertal.

Wood and its products, hay, sheep wool, skins, leather, flex, hemp, beeswax, candles, textiles and washing powder made of ash.

In Lech and Silbertal extraction of ore was practiced. Silver, copper and iron could be extracted.


Mostly purchased:

Salt, crops, flour, sugar, herbs, oil, coffee, wine, alcohol, tobacco and semolina.

Tools, household appliances, raw materials for the production of tools, fabrics, weapons, paraffin, books, school needs, medicine, clocks and jewellery.
